Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Association Management Account Executive to serve as the primary day-to-day contact for multiple association clients. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who enjoys balancing strategy and execution while helping organizations achieve their goals through daily necessary management tasks.Â
The Account Executive will manage client relationships, coordinate board and committee activities, oversee events and conferences, support membership engagement efforts, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned association clients.
- Build strong relationships with board members, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Lead regular client meetings and provide strategic recommendations.
- Develop and manage annual work plans and project timelines.
Board & Committee Support
- Coordinate board and committee meetings, agendas, materials, and minutes.
- Manage governance documents and organizational records.
- Support board recruitment, elections, and leadership transitions.
Membership & Communications
- Assist with membership recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop member communications including newsletters, emails, and announcements.
- Maintain accurate membership databases and reporting.
Meetings & Events
- Plan and execute conferences, annual meetings, board retreats, webinars, and special events.
- Manage venue coordination, registration, sponsorship fulfillment, and event logistics.
- Support onsite event execution and member experience.
Operations & Financial Management
- Track budgets, invoices, sponsorship revenue, and expenses.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and contracts.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for clients and boards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in association management, nonprofit management, event management, client services, or a related field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with boards, committees, volunteers, or member-based organizations preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/CRM systems. K2 uses a variety of CRM’s but for association management clients Zoho CRM is preferred.Â
