I’m super excited to be joining the great team at K2 & Company as an Account Executive!
I found my passion for politics at sixteen as a Field Organizer in Minnesota. After the election, I went on to serve as a Communications intern on a congressional campaign where I learned the importance of public and media relations when it comes to building coalitions and increasing awareness and support for a campaign. I took that knowledge with me when I moved to Wisconsin and continued to grow my skills by working with state, federal, and local campaigns on messaging, letter to the editor placements, and social media management. Following spring elections, I moved back to my home state, Minnesota, where I continued to build relationships with local media.
Most recently, I worked for an advocacy organization in Minnesota where I researched and tracked legislation, advocated for policies, built relationships with legislators, and organized round tables. I found a real passion for policy and educating and working with grassroots supporters to make a positive change in legislation.
For me, campaigns and advocacy don’t just come down to the black and white letters on a page or one social media post, it comes down to the people and stories behind the campaigns and policy and how I can work to share those stories through paid, earned, and owned media channels. I look forward to bringing that perspective to the K2 & Co team!
